I didn't mention it before because it normally doesn't matter. But now that we are discussing what it should and should not do, I think it does. I think of the MacPerl app as an application that processes Perl that just happens to have an editor and Help menu out of convenience. I don't think of it as an "integrated development environment". It doesn't seem to integrate anything, really. Anyway, the basic reason why it is not extended is this: the little time Matthias is going to work on MacPerl would be better spent doing other things. If someone else wants to work on the MacPerl editor and related functions, the source is there. >Is there a web page or a mailing list delimiting who is >working on what? There is the macperl-porters list. This discussion is better off there, probably. -- Chris Nandor mailto:pudge@pobox.com http://pudge.net/ %PGPKey = ('B76E72AD', [1024, '0824090B CE73CA10 1FF77F13 8180B6B6']) # ===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? # ===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org
