Jean-Michel, you forgot to read the documentation!  Shame on you! ;-)  
Read perlfunc.pod for info on localtime().  Please note that the current 
year is given as the number of years since 1900, and specifically NOT 
guaranteed to be two digits!

Also, you're not the first to mention this recently, so you also didn't 
check the archive.

This is not only documented behavior, it is correct and canonical.

Perl has no Y2K problem.

However, any programming language, misused, can produce erroneous output.
