So, first step: write a MacPerl script which flashes the menu bar. Step Two, rewrite the script so that it flashes the menu bar at a set interval (every few minutes or so). Finally, rewrite the script so that it runs in the background except when actually flashing the menu bar. Looks like this calls for both Mac::Menus and Mac::Processes. Other than the standard reference to Inside Macintosh, is there anyone out there who can give a quick&dirty on setting the mode flags under the process manager? This looks like the thread will devolve into a discussion for the Mac-Toolbox list.
