It really has nothing to do with MacPerl. An RFC is a "Request for Comment". In spite of the name, they are the official documents defining various standards, like MIME, FTP, SMTP, etc., used on the Internet. So, in so far as Perl modules are implementing these standards, they will be following the RFC's. You can find all of the RFC's at http://www.rfc-editor.org.
