Dear David,

I suspect that if you were to load a more recent version of MacPerl=20
you would find the "site_perl" folder created for you during=20
installation.

If you like you can create one yourself so you can leave the MacPerl=20
distribution pristine and place all of your "site specific Perl"=20
items in their own folder. One thing to remember is to add a path to=20
the Libraries section of MacPerl Preferences pointing to your=20
site_perl folder.

No matter, putting Serial.pm in the MacPerl:lib:Mac folder is OK for=20
using it as MacPerl will automatically search that path.

"master.t" is producing correct albeit stupid results. 8( Because of=20
my poor use of the END subroutine in the test program, it will always=20
complain when its syntax is checked. This failure report is spurious.=20
Please note that the syntax was declared OK so the syntax has passed.=20
I will fix this "feature" in a future release.

Run master.t and verify the results of that report.

You can put libraries for MacPerl anywhere you want but you might=20
wish to use the provided standards unless you have a compelling=20
reason.

You're welcome.

Best regards,
Joseph
