As far as I can tell, MOL won't really help either -- MacPerl can't get access to the Apache modules even if Mac OS is running from within Linux, and BBEdit can't use unix perl as a syntax-checking engine. Even Mac OS X won't be any kind of silver bullet, because BBEdit will still only know how to talk to the Classic MacPerl app, which won't know anything about the Apache modules.
