[MacPerl] <no subject>

Hi All, i've been listening in to the mailing lists for a while, and at the
same time have been becoming acquainted with mac perl, just recently I
decided to include the MPW macperl tool so that I could use MPW as the
scripting environment for perl as well as c, that was two days ago and I
still have been unable to make it happen, the latest error is
"unable to execute :." (or something similar)
at one point I thought that it was going to happen as it ran the
install.mpw_perl the first time, and created the config.mpw_perl script,
after that I was unable to run the install.mpw_perl script the second time
as is required for the installation.

I was hoping that somebody might have a suggestion, I've read through the
mac perl html as followed the steps there but I still get the same error -
after two days I've just about given up, so any help would be useful.
(although if there is a stupidly easy solution - dress it up and make it
sound more complex for me; otherwise I may break something :)
