Hiya, Is the CPAN shell known to have problems fetching with LWP on the Mac? Every time I run the shell and it tries to download something, it takes 20 seconds or so trying to use LWP with an FTP URL, then it gives up and uses Net::FTP (and succeeds). I've got the latest cpan-mac (0.40) and the latest LWP (5.48), with MacOS 9.0.4. About 50 MB of RAM allocated to MacPerl. By the way, can I safely upgrade to CPAN.pm 1.54, or should I continue to use the version (1.50) that comes with cpan-mac? I see that CPAN-testers shows a PASS for 1.54 on MacOS - I suppose that's good enough? By the way, Chris - there's a link on http://pudge.net/cgi-bin/mmp.plx that points to http://www.perl.org/cpan-testers/ and I think it should point to http://testers.cpan.org/ . # ===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? # ===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org
