I am just including 1.57.

Hm.  I installed File::Spec 0.82 yesterday and used cpan-mac a bit since
then, and didn't notice any problems.  If you can duplicate a problem, let
me know and maybe I can dig into it and figure it out.  What is it that
isn't working, if you can recall?
