Yes, but there have been third-party X solutions, and you'll see them
around.  Back in '98 when Mac OS X was announced I saw a demo at WWDC where
some app had been ported to Mac OS X (Rhapsody), but was really running
under an X server on Mac OS X.  X servers will be available, I'm sure.
