I, too, am receiving an AutoSplit error.  Did they mention how to fix it?
Also, the creator was fine when I first installed MacPerl (set text files to
use SimpleText, perl files to use MacPerl.)  But after installing
CodeWarrior Professional, my perl-related text files are now set to open
with Apple MPW 3.xx  -  Did I do something wrong?

I wonder because now when running the CPAN-Shell it just hangs when trying
to list any candidate sites - during initial start-up, manual
configuration...
