Ah, you probably mean CPAN.pm 1.5.0 Of course, Paul is right about it being a separate process to build XS stuff on a Mac. This was explained pretty clearly in the cpan-mac README. I write this to admonish you and others to read it, as it is very important to do so. The uninit value warnings in Mac::Types might be fixed next release. The one in the Makefile.PL I cannot fix (though I might actually do a local $^W before I execute it, turning off warnings temporarily).
