OK.  I think I have seen mention of the sfio library in
:macperl:Makefile.mk so I guess it needs to be built before perl
(assumingh a completely clean build of perl).

Here it looks like the C RTL's symlink(pathname,linkname) is all that is 
needed to create a Finder Alias.  What header file/lib do I need? 
(I presume that there is no <unistd.h> with the MW compiler kit).
