Yeah, that's what I used way back then.  It was Spring of '97 when it 
came out if I remember right.  Too bad it wasn't still being 
developed.  It was almost idiot-proof (I've built a # of toolkits for 
assorted places for dialup/network Mac users--they love Fetch).

Well, I can do that and it creates a nice executable CGI but there's 
another issue.  I didn't explain this before since it wasn't really 
needed but I'd better now.  These perl scripts aren't CGIs.  They're 
just general scripts.  Most use SNMP in some manor to check uptime, 
network I/O, usage, etc... of a given device.  The rest are sysadmin 
tools.  Some require input, some don't.  Running it from the MacPerl 
menu within BBEdit works fine except it appears STDIN doesn't work 
from there.  My next project is to enhance our websites for user 
administration.  That will be some CGI work for sure--and a very long 
couple of days :-(.
