I have just installed MacPerl 5.0.6r1m (my first MacPerl 5) and have EXACTLY the same problem than Scott Weaver (I found his question dated Wed, 10 Jan 1996 from the MacPerl Mail Archives (http:// www.its.unimelb.edu.au:801/hma/pub/macperl/). Curiously enough, I also have a PM 6100/66. Even a simple script with just print "hello world" won't run. Now I have noticed the following: - No problem if saved as droplet - if saved as Runtime from MacPerl installed for this Macintosh (i.e. PPC only), my application is only about 93 Kb large. - if saved as Runtime from MacPerl installed for all Macintosh (i.e. fat), my application is about 895 Kb large! - I have not tried the 680x0 only because my hard disk is almost full now. So I suppose that there is a bug in the Save as Runtime. Thank-you for your ideas.
