Nope.

We'd have to be insane to make it both, linked together.  The list would
become unmanageable, and useless.  If they want a newsgroup, fine, create
it.  But, I think that mailing lists are far more useful, and if you are
interested in it, you will get on the list.  Heck, I don't even READ news
becuase its so much of a pain to weed through garbage, not even relating to
the subject to find 1 message out of 20 or even 50 that is worth my time to
even read the subject line of.  Thus, my vote is to just keep the mailing
list by itself, and if a news group is made, fine, but lets not move all of
MacPerl discussion over to it.
