[MacPerl] MacPerl 510b2r2 OSA component

I've had no success with the MacPerl OSA component included in the 
510b2r2 release. When trying to "compile" a simple Perl script in Script 
Editor (or in FaceSpan), I get an "error while allocating:  " error 
message from Perl. 

Any help?
