Might be due to Perl bugs. I've been in contact with the kind FaceSpan folks
and will do some tests "soon".

Why shouldn't it be possible? Compiled scripts are not particularly compiled,
but they certainly should work. Regarding the run, I'll have to test it.

I'm not convinced if this should be magicked. Perl has pretty good manipulation
functions for AppleEvents anyway.
