[MacPerl] 68k droplets, failed to launch ...

Hi Readers!

Can anybody give me help to prevent the problem:
"Failed to launch MacPerl (possibly because of a memory problem)."

Under all circumstances besides when MacPerl is already running
I encounter this error message when double-clicking a MacPerl5
Droplet.

My Mac is a Performa 630 running system 7.5.3.

It does not make any difference whether I run
- with or without system extensions,
- MacPerl 5.07 or 5.1,
- rebuild the desktop, repair the hard disk,
- give MacPerl more memory,
- reinstall AppleScript,
- run MacPerl or BigMacPerl.

Another strange behaviour is that the menu shortcuts when running
BigMacPerl are not properly displayed, i.e. small rectangles instead
the Command-key Symbol.

Any help greatly appreciated.
