You would be able to recreate everything in the environment *except* the
possibility to execute Perl scripts, and I think that this would limit
popularity somewhat. MacPerl is not multitasking and not easily made
multitasking.

If Rahpsody ever happens and people want an integrated environment for it, this
would be a very real possibility, however.
