[MacPerl] calling Perl script from applescript (fwd)

Ok, how many of you first thought of Deep Space 9 when you read this?  ;-)

First question on my mind was: "I wonder how much Latinum
it would take to do this?"

I know - horribly off topic but I just had to write.  :-)

On topic part:
(Which really should go in it's own message I guess.)

I'm still using MacTCP instead of OT on my PPC.  MacPerl
uses it correctly (although MacTCP doesn't always connect
now for some reason) but is OT easier/better/the way of the
future and should I change over to it?  (Not that I want to
start up any kind of a war here.  Just looking for opinions.)
