Have you tried stepping through the program using the built in debugger? I keep having problems when syntax checking (command-option-K) with both "compiler warnings" and "perl debugger" ticked. Works fine if I just *run* (command-option-R) the program... but if I'm lucky it crashes out of MacPerl with a type 1 error when doing a syntax check. If I'm unlicky, even the "force quit" dialog box crashes before writing the text or drawing the buttons. I've lost the original message, but if you're trying to syntax check, disable the debugger. When you want to debug it, enable the debugger and run the program. -Alex Windows 95: n. 32 bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor, written by a 2 bit company. ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
