[MacPerl] reading PC files script part 2

Ok , thanks to all of you, but i should be more precise:

we are making connections scripts for client (win95/MACOS) in order to
connect to all/some server in the lab (NTAS+UNIX). Moreover the dialog
between server (adding user, adding a user to a group, adding a share
for mac/pc) is all done in perl.

we have written lib in perl that we extend and manage with rcs under
unix, we distribute them on all the concerned server.

When a client connect (ie MAC client) he mount a netlogon volume (as did
a win95 under NT-domain-master) and do a script on that volume. The
volume is in fact shared by PC and mac in order to use the same
"generic-lib". The pb is with those "generic-lib" :
-we can duplicate them (but when there is an upgrade of the lib ....??)
-we should share them but the pb is the EOL.

Is there a way to tell macperl thet $/= eol-pc OR eol-mac ????
i mean switching from eol-pc to eol-mac and vice-versa is not
possible...
