You do not have to do any of this for the Macintosh versions of the software. Look for the files which have the ".hqx" on the end of them (or the ".pm"). These are either Macintosh files (ie: the .hqx ones) or Perl components (ie: the ".pm" files) which should plug in without any changes. The rest are either the IBM or Unix versions and should not be used.
