[MacPerl] Perl/Tk ?

Long time listener, first time caller.

I've heard grumblings about a port of Perl/Tk to the Mac...

Perl makes programming/prototyping easy, but doesn't have robust GUI
features.

I've been thinking about turning my computer into a Linux Box just so I
can get
to write some Perl/Tk stuff. 

I guess my question is: "Is there a Perl/Tk port on the horizon (6
months - 1 year)
that will save me the grief of reformatting my hard drive?" .

If anyone has any beta ports that they'd like an end-user to test,
then I am more than willing.

[ Even though I'm not certain I can tell you anything besides whether or
not my computer crashes using the port ]
