I hate to dredge up a topic that has been covered before, but I searched the archives and found people with similar problems but no solutions. The setup: I have MacPerl 5.15r4 with all the extensions that came with the release. I am running WebSTAR 2.1 on a PowerMac 8600/200. What is happening: When I name my MacPerl CGI's with a .acgi extension, Webstar will happily serve non-cgi pages while my perl script runs in the background (as it should be). But if I launch more MacPerl acgi's (the same or different ones) before the first MacPerl acgi finishes executing and returns, all of the acgi calls after the first get the following response: "The requested gateway application timed out before returning results. Sorry." Is there a way to run MacPerl CGI's asynchronously and still accept more than one request at a time? (Its alright if CGI calls get "queued" and done one at a time.)
