[MacPerl] Looking for fun, easy scripts for a beginning MacPerl user

Hello Group;

My name is Diana, and I am new to your group.

I am looking for fun, easy scripts, for myself as a beginning MacPerl
user.

I have a Macintosh Perform 631CD with system software 7.5.1.

I am in the process of trying to get a software testing position.  A
prospective employer suggested that I learn Perl for his job, and to
know in general.

I did download MacPerl5 last Friday, joined the newsgroup, and will buy
the "MacPerl: Power and Ease" book when it comes out.

I appreciate your help.
