A good question, indeed. In my defense, I'd like to offer that I borrowed most
of my AppleEvent and terminology code straight from an Apple sample program
that seemed to have been written very early in the life cycle of AppleScript.

I would certainly agree that the terminology is bad, but I'd prefer to leave it
alone until I do a real rewrite of the frontend.

Yes, that should work, too.
