They're all the same so far as pure Perl is concerned. Just install 5.005_02 and you're set. The only trouble that you might conceivably have is if you want to run a CPAN module that uses Perl's .xs extension mechanism where the working code is actually written in C. Then occasionally you might have trouble if C header files (.h files) are in the "wrong" place or are missing. Browse around on tre CPAN testers site, <http://www.connect.net/gbarr/cpan-test/> and you'll get an idea of the types of problem you might run into and how rare they are. >Thanks again, > >me > >-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-3D-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= >Dennis Little mailto://dennis.j.little@lmco.com >Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space mailto://metnet@worldnet.att.net >Sunnyvale, CA Web: http://www.lmms.lmco.com/ >Phone: 408/756-2170 LMMS: O/EA52 B/076 C/3E8 >-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-3D-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= > ------- Paul J.
