Note that the tool preferences are only available with the more recent
versions of the BBEdit plug-ins.  That is, newer or equivalent to:

    1.Run MacPerl (version 1.2)
    2.Run MacPerl Front (version 1.2)
    3.Run File with MacPerl (version 1.2)
    4.Edit MacPerl Script (version 1.0.2)
    5.Shuck (version 1.0.1)
    6.Check Perl Syntax (version 1.2)

If yours are older, I suggest upgrading. http://www.pobox.com/~bradh/bbedit/
