Thanks to all who responded. Summarizing a bit, it appears that one can have multiple copies of a MacPerlish application running at the same time. The preparation involves: * make a copy of MacPerl (e.g., McP1) * change the icon on the copy, if desired * change the creator to something unique (e.g., McP1) * change the McPL entry in the BNDL resource (e.g.,to McP1) * change the CODE entry in the ???? resource (e.g.,to McP1) ??? This is all Science Fiction, however. At least, *I* haven't tried it! Before we proceed further, would anyone like to correct, complete, and/or clarify the notes above? Or (HINT), would anyone be willing to try this out manually and/or cobble together a script that does the edits? Finally, could someone clarify whether I would be able to start a MacPerl script running, then use McP1 to load in and run another script? MacPerl can load BBEdit files, so this _seems_ like it should be possible... -r Rich Morin: rdm@cfcl.com, +1 650-873-7841, http://www.ptf.com/~rdm Prime Time Freeware: info@ptf.com, +1 408-433-9662, http://www.ptf.com MacPerl: http://www.ptf.com/macperl, http://www.ptf.com/ptf/products/MPPE MkLinux: http://www.mklinux.apple.com, http://www.ptf.com/ptf/products/MKLP ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
