Thanks to all who have sent in comments and suggestions about the Mini-FAQ. It's nice to know that folks are looking at it! Also, I apologize for the double posting. I had received a note from Matthias, saying that the word "marketing" (in the first posting) had tripped his SPAM filter. He did not say, however, that he had overridden the filter, so I re-sent the message in edited form. Sigh... I would like to make a distinction, in any event, between the document I am trying to create and a full-blown FAQ. My effort is geared at developing something that folks won't mind seeing when they first subscribe and about once a month (not weekly, perish forbid!) thereafter. Thus, it needs to be fairly short, yet point the reader to useful resources. In reaction to this, I have (a) covered only a few topics and (b) made heavy use of URLs. My selection of topics may be in question (feedback is solicited, as usual), but I think the use of URLs is not. I simply don't have room to recapitulate substantial amounts of information in this format. Fortunately, we have a "real" FAQ (now mentioned in the Mini-FAQ :-). If there is something you'd like to see covered in depth, please submit it for inclusion there (http://www.ptf.com/macperl/depts/MacPerlFAQ.html). -r Rich Morin: rdm@cfcl.com, +1 650-873-7841, http://www.ptf.com/~rdm Prime Time Freeware: info@ptf.com, +1 408-433-9662, http://www.ptf.com MacPerl: http://www.ptf.com/macperl, http://www.ptf.com/ptf/products/MPPE MkLinux: http://www.mklinux.apple.com, http://www.ptf.com/ptf/products/MKLP ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
