Just to cover ALL the bases: Did you hold the option key down? I mean did you keep your finger on that option button, and keep it there until the operation is totally finished? If you don't keep it there for a prologed period of time while you are emptying the trash, it is as if you didn't even press it in the first place. I know I have been confounded by this niceiety before when trying to delete larger locked files. Don't just tap that button, keep it there! ---------- >From: Max Haas <haasm@ubaclu.unibas.ch> >To: Chris Nandor <pudge@pobox.com>, "mac-perl@iis.ee.ethz.ch" <mac-perl@iis.ee.ethz.ch> >Subject: Re: [MacPerl] Unlocking files >Date: Tue, Dec 15, 1998, 9:19 AM > >On 15.12.1998 at 7:57 Uhr, pudge@pobox.com (Chris Nandor) >wrote: > >> At 01.47 -0500 1998.12.15, Richard Christensen wrote: >> >I have tried holding down the option key and this doesn't >work for these >> >file.
