My apologies, Francois. Several people have pointed out to me that 127.0.0.1 is, indeed, the correct loopback address. My sys-admin (Windows specialist) told me to use 128.0.0.1. Since it worked, I assumed it was correct. (Never a good assumption to make.) Chris and others have pointed out that if you're not connected to the internet, any address will work.
