FMP's SQL support is limited to its use as a frontend for a true SQL server, with the emphasis on limited. I've never seen anything for FMP that will do much more than translate FMP find requests into SQL statements, send them to the server and then let you import the results. I assume that it will also support some degree of INSERT or UPDATE stuff as well, but only thru the export of a text file? If my understanding is correct, this is just synchronizing a local FMP database with the SQL server (which may be useful to some people) but conventional FMP find requests are still used and then translated into SQL by the plugin. That's a long, long way from actually doing SQL the way that FoxPro or Access can.
