I would not mind seeing Mac Perl have a second program written for it to make the server end act like the UNIX servers do for handling and running perl CGI scripts. I would love to be able to just upload a text file with the .cgi extension and be able to run it like I can on a UNIX server. I access my server by remote (from home) all the time and it gets to be a hassle to have to wait 5 minutes for the compiled CGI to quit on it's own before I can upload a small change to test it out. A lot of what I do will not display properly in the Mac Perl interface. I have to upload it and run it to see what it will look like in a browser. A big annoying thing is that if I make a stupid error, I have to wait 5 minutes to be able to upload the correction. Anyone know of a plug-in for Web Star that would do this or am I stuck with the Mac Perl way of processing perl CGI scripts on my server. -- Michael D.
