I run MacPerl 5.2r4 on a Mac LC575 with System 7.1 and 20 MB of Ram.
I have nearly finished working through "MacPerl: Power and Ease" but I am
finding that some of the modules/libraries/extensions will not run.
I typed in the small example using Mac::Memory to get the amount of
free memory, but got a message saying "cant find loadable object for module
in Mac::Memory" in @INC.
I checked my library directories in the preferences and I believe these are set
correctly. I was able to use the routine to find the Mac Startup disk (Volumes
function), but Memory doesnt work.
I'm also finding that the Quickdraw routines wont load so that "chaser" script
posted yesterday willl not load.
So my question: Is my Mac too old to utilise these functions? What should
I do next?
Many thanks,
Charles
