They used to refer to it as the "carbon-based life form discount".  I 
always knew about it (I was using BBEdit back when its creator was 
'Rich'), so I don't know if they let everyone in on the secret, but 
it's relatively prominent on their web page.

Still, it is kind of kinky.

But I concur that the MacPerl integration is truly sweet.  Certainly 
worth the price, and I don't even use Perl all that much.
