Hey, that's one NICE t-shirt! (actually there's TWO now).  Besides, as 
was mentioned, the cross-grade from BBEdit Lite is only $79 (still 
pricier than $30 but what's $40 among friends?).

My personal bias aside, Alpha is another very nice solution.
