:>Did you dowload and expand the file: ... cpan-mac-0.40.sit.bin :>I suspect that that is what is meant by the 'cpan-mac' distribution. Thanks for this guide. I mixed up the archive network CPAN with a cpan module. My Simple.pm tests work now successfully. May I insist though that this should be documented much more clearly. Even if this is work in progress - using AE on the Mac is such a distinctive and important feature that everybody should be able to make use of it. :Larry is right. "cpan-mac" ne "MacPerl". However, I am going to upload a :new version (sometime soon) of Mac::AppleEvents that does not require :cpan-mac (it was a mistake to do so in the first place). cpan-mac's Install.plx installs 209 files. This is pretty impressive. Who made all those changes, ports, testing, etc. (I was off the list for nearly 2 years)? Still impressed! Quite a lot of work in order to get "Mac::AppleEvents:Simple" going. Thank you Chris! Will there be a near future version of MacPerl which incooperates all of those changes, immediately installed into the "lib" folder?
