It's basically the harder to find, harder to install problem. I can cpan> install Net::Telnet and MacPerl will do The Right Thing. I cannot cpan> install XML::Parser and have it do The Right Thing. (That's true even if I have Code Warrior, the old libraries, and MPW installed, right?) I tried once installing of of your or Arved's precomiled XS using cpan-mac and have never done it again.
