Hello, I wrote a perl script (that adds addresses to Eudora) in macperl that I would like to distribute to my users as a runtime. I have run into probs though. I did search the mail list archives and found some tips but I am still having trouble. I am using Macperl 5.2.0r4 on a PPC powerbook 3400c. The script runs fine in macperl. When I used the Runtime Builder droplet on the MacPerl cdrom, it created the .run folder but then said" Out of memory Out of memory " This is kinda strange, since my machine has 80mb of ram. After several unsuccesful attempts, I tried the runtime builder on a different machine (7100/80) and it worked, however it created a shared lib file that was empty and the runtime version of my scrpit still gave the could not find..... @INC error. So I then installed the Bigappl on a 68k machine and tried saving the runtime (as suggested in a post by Chris Nandor in an acrchived post). Still did not work, I also tried a cfm-68k install of macperl and the saved runtime still did not work, before and after running the runtime builder. I have noticed that the runtime will run if I put it in the macperl directory and I started to created a lib:mac:.... directory for all the .pm s my runtime calls for, I saw that this was one fix for the prob of shared libraries. Since this could include several directories with the runtime I want to distribute, I am wondering If I am doing something wrong or missed doing something? Kris A.
