Just like Apple with Mac OS X which is only (from what I understand) going to be available for the G3 and not PPC (however, there might be support for PPC later, but I doubt it from what I've heard). From the Yello Dog Linux website it looks like they support both PPC's and G3's. Of course, my preference is MkLinux, but it's good to see more people doing Linux on Mac's.
