It is very important, I think, to the future of MacPerl and Perl in general. But now an aside. Is anyone else concerned about memory and Perl? Memory footprints are getting larger. CPAN.pm and its dependencies needs at least 20, 30 preferred, to run well. Doesn't bother me much because I have 160MB of RAM. And even if you are too short on RAM to run CPAN.pm, you can use the untarzipme and installme droplets, which don't use CPAN.pm. But still, memory requirements seem to be getting worse. I guess my question is this: who is finding a lack of RAM is a real hindrance to doing the work they want to do with MacPerl? -- Chris Nandor mailto:pudge@pobox.com http://pudge.net/ %PGPKey = ('B76E72AD', [1024, '0824090B CE73CA10 1FF77F13 8180B6B6']) ===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org
