I think it's a part of the same problem. I would like to see simple one-phrase summaries of each of the folders in the Mac Readme (eg "MacPerl Scripts" is intended for AppleScripts MacPerl should execute [?]). Is there a pod devoted to this topic? One further comment. In a future download site, can we separate the MPW and standalone MacPerls into separate directories? This would eliminate some confusion. I suspect there may not be a 68K next version, but maybe I'm wrong. If there is, further subdividing the download directories would help eliminate confusion even further: /68k/cfm68k /68k/static-linked-lump /ppc/mpw /ppc/standalone I suppose both the 68k directories may further be subdivided by /mpw and /standalone. Seems like at least one of the 68K versions was going to be eliminated. This download arrangement eliminates the necessity of much of the large discussion in the Mac readme, which gets read often _after_ the download process has occurred. -- MattLangford # ===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? # ===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org
