I dunno.  The tar file is messed up, not the gz file.  It de-gzips cleanly.
I "fixed" the Archive::Tar warnings and ran it again, upping my RAM to 80MB
for MacPerl, and got:

That checksum mismatch is from Mac::Conversions.  Also, when I decompressed
and unpacked the file with Stuffit Expander, Stuffit Expander would not
de-macbinarize the individual .bin files (aside from the Map8 shared libs).
